La révolution de Carmen
In the year marking the 150th anniversary of the opera, OPERA2DAY presents a revolutionary production of Bizet's Carmen. In La Révolution de Carmen, Bizet's music resounds in all its glory, performed for the first time in the Netherlands on historical instruments by the acclaimed Flemish orchestra B'Rock. The opera is set during the turbulent era of the Paris Commune in 1871. At the radiant center of the production is none other than Tania Kross. This performance is exclusively staged at Amare in The Hague.
